System Overview
Trays are available for 25mm, 28mm, 28.5mm, 32mm, 40mm, 50mm, and 60mm bases. Each uses print-in-place hinges that snap open to load your minis, then close to lock them securely in place, no extra parts needed.
Tray SystemThe case is a base, a set of lids, and as many Layers as you need. Add a new layer for a new unit, a token holder, or a paint caddy, no screws, magnets, nuts, bolts, heated inserts, hinges, or locks required.
No HardwareSlide the loaded trays into the frame, the trays complete the shell of the case, making every part multi-functional. A built-in locking clip holds the two halves together for transport, released by pressing both sides with your fingers.
Foam-FreePress the clips, pull the tray, and your whole squad is ready to place. Colour-code your Layers per faction with a quick filament swap, the two-tone look comes free with any FDM printer.

The Story
I'm Kevin, a full-time programmer, dad of three, and tabletop gamer for over 20 years living on the west coast of Ireland. Between work, parenting, and walking the dog, I squeeze in as much hobby time as I can across Warhammer 40K, Kill Team, Necromunda, Age of Sigmar, Adeptus Titanicus, and Dungeons & Dragons.
For years I used shoeboxes, recycled foam, and tupperware to transport armies, functional, but embarrassing. When I got back into 3D printing I looked at every printable case out there and found they either needed multiple kg of filament or so many parts you'd need instructions to assemble one. That's when the idea for LayerSafe was born, minimal parts, no hardware, print-in-place hinges, built-in locking clip. Just print, assemble, and go. Funded by 130 backers who felt exactly the same way.
