The Community
Case.

I've been designing this case on Instagram, with a lot of help from the comments. It's finished and it's free. Leave your email and I'll send you the files.

You'll get one email to confirm your address, and then the download. I'll only email you after that if you tick the box, and you can unsubscribe any time. Privacy policy.

The Community Case open, with painted miniatures inside and a loaded tray in front

What's in the download

Print it, fill it, take it to the game.

  • The case, in two versions. The ork-themed one from the reels, and a plain one so you can design your own skin for it. Both come in 60, 80 and 100mm internal heights, so you can pick the one that fits your tallest model.
  • Ten sample trays for common base sizes: 25, 28.5, 32, 40, 50 and 60mm round, 60×35 and 75×42mm oval, a four-mech BattleTech hex tray, and a mixed squad tray (one 40mm and six 32mm).
  • A PDF guide with print settings, assembly and how to make trays for your own bases.

Everything prints without supports or hardware. The trays are the same size as the ones in the full LayerSafe case, so they work in both.

Who's behind this

It's just me.

LayerSafe isn't a company with a team behind it. It's me in Galway, designing foam-free miniature cases and printing a lot of test versions.

This one is free because people helped shape it in the comments. If you print it, tag @layersafe. I'd really like to see what you do with the plain version.

  1. Need more room?

The LayerSafe Carry Case is the bigger version. It stacks layers so it grows with your army, and takes the same trays.

  2. Different bases?

Make a tray for exactly the bases you have with the free Tray Generator.

  3. Questions?

Email hello@layersafe.app. It comes straight to me.
